Flexible Resource Optimization for GEO Multibeam Satellite Communication System

Conventional GEO satellite communication systems rely on a multibeam foot-print with uniform resource allocation to provide connectivity users. However, applying is inefficient in presence of non-uniform demand distribution. To overcome this limitation, the next generation broadband will enable flexibility terms power and bandwidth assignment, enabling on-demand allocation. In paper, we propose novel assignment design whose goal satisfy beam traffic by making use minimum transmit utilized bandwidth. The motivation behind proposed maximize spectrum utilization pushing reuse affordable limits tolerable interference. problem formulation results non-convex optimization structure, for which an efficient tractable solution. We validate method extensive numerical results, demonstrate efficiency approach respect benchmark schemes.
